One of the sturdiest wild woodland flowers found in the Shenandoah region of KK’S home state, as well as many states up the East Coast, is called Granny’s Bonnet (or, Columbine). She loves how elegant it looks as a silhouette in half-drop repeat. She named this pattern after her maternal granny, Helen.
