Introducing The Companion Fabric Collection from Mazy Path

Mazy Path is inspired by remarkable plants. As we expand our offerings to include fabrics, we find inspiration in gardens as well. Gardens thrive when there’s a combination of diversity and interdependence. Plants can be exceptional unto themselves while they simultaneously enhance the well-being of their neighbors. Take the tomato and the carrot, for example. Each vegetable has a range of singular characteristics and is extraordinary on its own. When tomatoes and carrots are raised together, tomatoes produce a natural insecticide, solanine, that protects carrots from pests. In turn, carrots aerate the soil around tomato plants’ roots, improving the roots’ access to air and water. Tomatoes and carrots are special alone, and together they flourish.

As we see it, our new fabric collection, Companion, is the tomato to our wallpaper carrot. Companion’s fabrics (which are based on our wallpaper patterns Pawpaw, Hummingbird, Virginia Strawberry, Guava and Winter Wheat) are printed on 100% Belgian linen in Pennsylvania. With their supple hand, they hug the contours of furniture frames and flow as drapery. Our wallpapers are printed on FSC-certified paper in Connecticut, and their clay-coated paper grounds add depth and precision to interiors. Each quality stands on its own and adds beauty and singularity to a space. Applied in the same environment (and with a Mazy Path relief print thrown in for good measure), our fabrics and wallpapers create a pattern-on-pattern extravaganza. In sum, our fabrics and wallpapers are companions in the garden of Mazy Path.
